Painted during my time at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, this piece began as a traditional still life featuring a pot and a ribbon. As the work evolved, it took on an abstract direction, exploring form, movement, and interpretation. The painting invites viewers to reconsider the familiar and asks the question: What is a pot?
