TONAL BODIES

This photography project explored the emotional impact of color, focusing on three key tones: yellow, blue, and pink. These colors often evoke feelings of playfulness and carry associations with gender. I was curious to see how viewers might interact with the work and what emotions or reflections it might evoke in them.

Yellow

The yellow tonality conveyed a sense of strangeness and eeriness, an atmosphere that felt slightly off, unsettling in the bright highlights. Rather than warmth, the yellow introduced tension, making the viewer question what was being presented. The poses further heightened this unease, emphasizing the unnatural quality of the space and creating a feeling of dissonance beneath the surface.

Blue

The blue tonality conveyed a sense of intimacy, strength, and subtle mystery. It invited viewers into a quieter emotional space, one of reflection, vulnerability, and depth. Blue, in this context, became a symbol of trust and quiet resilience.

Pink

The pink tonality conveyed a sense of femininity that is self-possessed and unexploited. Her movements are precise, her intentions clear, inviting the viewer to witness a poised exterior. Yet beneath that surface lies a darker internal world, one she withholds, leaving it intentionally unseen.
